Hi Belinda. That is quite a conference, I hope your husband is going to see a little of Bali too. Nusa Dua is an enclave of upper end hotels, you will find it a very safe and comfortable place to be but it is not Bali. When you have had your fill of relaxing and cycling or horseback riding I would suggest you hire youself a driver and get out and see the things that make Bali so special, like the most spectacular rice terraces in the world. The temples and ceremonies are enchanting. We used Wayan Purya as our driver guide last year and although I was with a friend I know as a woman alone you will be very well looked after.
As suggested above a search of the archives will reveal a lot of information. It is hard for us to make suggestions as we know nothing of your interests or previous travel experience. There is a very comprehensive list of driver guides in the archives, check it out, we all have our favourites. Look in the archives for 'just back reports' and try to find some from people in you age bracket and with similar interests. You could start with mine the link is below. Stay tuned to the Forum until you go. Have a great time. Sue
