My dietary habits sound similar to yours and I manage to find food I like. I wouldn't eat nasi goreng etc without first checking it has no meat - unfortunately most places it does. I agree with Tony about Aromas cafe on the one way road in the Kuta Legian area -( it's just down from the well known Bounty restaurant) However I disagree about the salads here as I have frequently enjoyed them and never been sick from their salads. TJ's mexican (Poppies lane near bemo cnr)does a great salad too (and other non meat meals) - once again I'm sure you won't get sick from this place. For the ultimate seafood meal try one of the many excellent places on the beach at Jimbaran Bay. I can recommend Tambiak Cafe at the airport end of Jimbaran (an area called Kedonganan)ph 702355 or 702811.
