Anyway, it is a simple question. Are you going for the beach or the culture. If you really want the beach then you will be disappointed. This is not to say that there are not nice beaches, because there are. (I think I will get a not so nice reply for this comment.) If someone has not traveled to other locations then this is paradise, but as you would find out there are much nicer beaches in the world, some close to Bali and some elsewhere. Now that I have said that I will also add that if your answer to the question is that you are also interested in a cultural experience then Bali is a must see. It is a little jewel in its' own way. I think if you do go take the time to learn about this culture and why it exists. These answers really provide an insight into the people and culture... One other point is that a lot of Bali is away from the beach, in the interior, otherwise I think all the answers that you are looking for will be found on the forum.
