This is not specific to Bali, it is wide spread throughout most of the world. I do not recommend meeting a woman in a small village as it will have an affect, but I tend to disagree with this premise of culture. It is the culture of men to dictate that women not be promiscuous while men are always out fooling around. I am quite aware of the repercussions that flaunting local women can have (Yes it is in my perspective, if I could only find my glasses). You never seen me write that, I said share a nice time with a woman. I have met many women around the world and it was not always (if any) the sex that I remembered. I enjoy spending time with other women and hope that they gain something from me as I have gain from them...It is time that we stop forcing women to hide in a shell while men ride the wind. In is not uncommon for the men to have more than one wife in Bali yet they do not want their women to leave the home. Anyway I will not disagree with what you say, this is why most of the prostitutes are from abroad; no face to loose and the fact that the pimps can control them easier. But I do not accept it being an Bali issue. In fact it was once an issue in western societies until the women took control of their sexuality and defined who there are. They may have not achieved victory on all fronts, but they do not have to have a man tell them who they can and cannot talk to. And yes we still have a number of men in western societies who define this as culture and expect women to stay at home but it could be changing. Could you tell me?
