After sitting here and reading the report, I felt myself back in Bali ..........for a moment and then I shivered and realised I was
in cool, cooler ,cold Melbourne. I don't know whether to thank you for the great,descriptive report or blame you for making me feel like I should be in Bali right now. *sigh* Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it.
When we stayed in Sanur last year, we hired a driver for 130,000rp(his price no haggling) and after seeing everyone else coming back quoting 200,000+ for drivers, I presumed the prices had gone up. However, if you paid 140,000 rp, it seems like Sanur is a good place to book a driver.
The Bird Park was one of the highlights of our trip this year also. Our four year old son is not one to patiently look at each exhibit and I guessed we would be round the whole place in less than an hour. Wrong! He loved it and I think we walked the place three times just to see the birds being changed in the different handling areas.
Lunch at the Bird Park Restaurant was superb. Anyone else going there must try the delicious mandarin drink. Can't wait till Saturday now. The Bali holics of Melbourne are having a night out at an Indonesian restaurant..guess that will be as close as we will get to Bali for a little while. *sigh*
