we used s driver called mangde. the posting is there on these pages with harold's driver list.
cant remember the map very clearly but we managed mt batur along with ubud, mas (wood carving village), and few other places. ended up with an excellen sun set at uluwatu.
best way to plan is to take a map and see what comes within your trip to Mt Batur. certain places u can make it on the same trip. consult your hotel/driver for help and see as many places in one trip.
go on your own because hotel trips are far more expensive. all u need is a driver who can speak good enough english
