Some good advice from sue - you do have to wear sarongs etc for temples. They are really cheap to buy in Bali.
I find the short sun dresses you buy from the markets there are the best because then nothing like a waistband is annoying you and making you hot.
I only take what I'm wearing and a change of clothes and buy the rest there. It makes the holiday much more fun.
