I too wanted some. So I looked everywhere. None of the silver/gold jewellery shops seem to have more than the odd one, so that was a non-starter, I tried Denpasar, but to be honest, I don't think I got enough clued-up before I went, and I think had I had more time, not been so horribly hot and tired then I might have scented victory. The only place I found was at the airport in the duty free, right at the end where there are a few independent shops there I found a some mabe pearls, and they were a particularly spectacular size! The price was good though, about £50 sterling for two whoppers, they (I think, can't remember) also had some loose round ones. They only had the usual pearl colour though. No blacks, blues, pinks etc. I did read an article in one of the free magazines left in our hotel room which had a piece on the pearls on Lombok. I nearly swum there. If you get any joy on this, PLEASE oh please e-mail me and let me know the low-down. If not next year I just might go to Lombok and see for myself.
