Re: Bali Inter-continental / Bear with me this is my first e-mail...ever! Anyways, I just returned yesterday..I'm still adjusting to the time change so I'm up in the middle of the night. We stayed at the inter-continental the first three days then stayed at the Sheraton laguna in Nusa dua another three days. The Bali inter-continental was very exotic (the furnishings, statues, lighting, etc.) and the service was outstanding. However, the beach was not at all what I had hoped. It's not the crystal blue waters of the Carribeann and the sand was more light brown than white. Unfortunately, the pollution comments about the water are true and I never even went in the water. Fortunately, the pool made up for the beach. I never thought I'd be choosing a pool over a beach..ever.(sad) Some of my most fond moments were floating in that tranquil pool. The breakfast there was another "favorite" I'd almost go back just for that!! The selection of fruits and pastries were heavenly!! Well, I hope I've helped you some on the hotel, if there's anything else I'll do my best to help you out. Have a fabulous trip, it's hard not to!!
