Bali (Melia Bali) / Food

Hi everyone, I am going to the Melia Bali at Nusa Dua on Sunday, any tips about the hotel, cheap and good food nearby (also at Kuta) will be appreciated. Are there any important do's or don'ts ?
Also, we arrive at 13.00 in Denpasar does that mean we'll end up eating our first dinner at the hotel (I hear they have stiff prices) or will there be enough time to explore and find a decent place to go?

Any tips on gyms and workout's at the hotel??
