I have used Cahaya tailor every visit to have women's business suits made. I buy my suiting material from the fabric shops in Sulawesi St Denpasar - I would not pay more than 20,000 Rp per metre.
I have sent about a dozen people so far to Herry (owner) and have had no complaints so far about his work. I am a difficult to fit size (large) and my sister is a regular size - we both have had after five, business clothing and casual garments made by Herry with success.
There are a number of things to remember when having clothing made by Balinese tailors:
1) Start with a small order - one or two artices to test the work
2) Allow at least three days for work to be completed
3) Allow time for and insist on a fitting
4) Take samples to be copied if and when possible
5) Always negotiate a price - and expect to pay a deposit
6) Do not take delivery of goods if not completely happy
Please email me for futher information and I can give you specific details re garments, costs, addresses etc.
