Sorry for the delay but have been away for a couple of days - but better late than never. The address is : Jl Lebak Bena - Legian kelod Tel 0361 725683.
Herry has a fellow called Kanis working for him - Kanis is not a tailor but can take first measurements. He speaks good english - but make sure he gets your order as you want it.
Herry will copy or work from samples or from a photograph - I have had both done. I usually design my own or take a photo/picture of something like I want. Even if you have a sample, make sure you have a fitting. THIS IS ESSENTIAL. DO NOT ASSUME THAT the sample will fit exactly the same as your new garment.
The materials available from Sulawesi St range from suiting, to sheeting - and every thing in between. Some shops specialise - eg evening materials, lining etc so you need to go from shop to shop - price - then purchase what you want. The owners usually speak good english and will tell you how much material you need - for your garment.
As far as having heavy winter coast made, he has some good books with styles in them but I have never seen the heavy winter materials - although I must admid I have not looked for it over there. It would be better to be safe than sorry and take heavy winter quality material with you.
We have had dresses and matching jackets made, womens business suits, tailored womens shorts (from Jag sample), Chong sams and other eving clothing and ladies pants. Friends have had mens trousers and shirts made. Herry's father is a tailor also - and manufacturers from his home in Denpasar - he makes uniforms for the Indonesian military - pretty good stuff.
If I can help any further - please email me direct.
