Have brought packaged food and fresh spices (cloves, cinnamon, etc.) in many times, no worries EXCEPT a package of black rice was confiscated on my last trip. I was told that, unlike other rice, black rice remains 'viable' for growing, even after it's packaged, so can't be imported (it leaves me wondering why I have since been able to locate it in a few asian shops in Melbourne).
