I love to cook !!! and cook a variety of different dishes using curry bases, herbs and spices. I must say, for me - shopping for these in Bali, and seeing what was available was hard to resist .. Bit like a kid in a candy store.
I bought back a wide range of pre-packaged spices, vacumed packed curry bases, Bottled Sauces Etc and had no Problems with customs at all.
When Filling out your immigration card - You must tick that you have food stuff in your baggage anyway. Keep it to the top of your bags when flying home (along with other items that you are declearing)so that you arn't unpacking "EVERYTHING" while in the presense of customs officials and there prying eyes!!
Try Bumbu "Gado-Gado" (Red Packet) & Bumbu "Pecel" ... SENSATIONAL !!
