We have just arrived home from Bali after spending almost 3 weeks there. We had a ball!! I agree that Kuta is much to touristy- street hawkers abound. We stayed in Sanur- great beach, less touristy, minimal street hawkers, some great restaurants and easily accessible to Kuta as transport is so readily available. We also stayed in Ubud-which we loved and would spend more time there next time. Stayed in Lovina also. Have a great time- i'm sure you will. If you want advice on bargaining and the cureent prices etc. I'll be happy to provide what info I can..
