Agree with Ann's comments. Just like to add that I believe there aren't more women out their offering their services as guides/drivers for the obvious reasons of safety & exploitation.
As most Balinese workers in Bali double as guides/drivers, etc given half a chance, I would suggest getting to know or talking to a female worker where you're staying, where you shop, etc. I really enjoyed hopping on the back of a motorbike with a local & touring around. In Lovina I was talking to a lady in a clothing shop about sights to see, when she suggested I hop on with her. I thought she'd be a quieter driver too, but I was wrong.....she was wild!!! Anyway I had a safe journey & lots of laughs. She was great!
