Anyone can look for themselves at http://airsafe.com/airline.htm#asia In Asia, which has some of the worst airlines in the world, China Air does better than Indian Air and the airlines of the PRC (which of course has many many more flights). Not exactly in the middle range...although since they've recently crashed (on a flight from Bali) odds are that it won't happen again anytime soon...although perhaps the people on that flight should have looked at the above web-site.
