In answer to "4 times traveller" I used my Visa Card to get cash at the BII (Bank Indonesia International) ATM at Mataharis in Kuta Square in Nov 97. The receipt has logos on it for Master Card, Cirrus, Visa, Plus and Alto. I had no problem withdrawing direct forom available funds already in the account back in Australia.
