No, Canadians as a rule call all bank issued ATM cards(unless they're visa or mastercard types)'bank cards', regardless of which banks issue them. It's the card that you use at home to make direct payments at the point of purchase from their bank account, make deposits at a bank machine or use to withdraw money directly from their bank account. They're also called 'debit cards'. As long as the machines are Cirrus anybody from anywhere in the world should be able to withdraw money from any ATM machine, as long as their bank isn't behind the times. We are taking Mastercard, not Visa, so we should be okay, but I want to reserve using the credit card for emergencies.
