Ferries

Hi Mitch,
Aren't there ferries which go directly to the Gili's? They are advertised on sandwich boards at lots of booking agencies - or must they go via the mainland? Seems a waste of time, there's so many people who go to the Gili's straight from Bali, all have to go via Lombok? I was lucky enough to have a flight from Bali to Lombok included in my airfare to Bali, so I got to tour Lombok then chill on the Gilis the easy way.
