I agree with Riles. At the very best part it will take a day to get over the jetlag, two days to get use to hawkers, a day madly shopping for souvenirs for all those back home who think your mad and don't deserve a pressie, a day spent on the tan, another day wondering if there is more to Bali than Kuta, then the last couple of days madly dashing to the rest of the Island you only now realised you should have visited 1st but wasted in Kuta! Not the mention the last day, which is usually spent sadly packing and conjuring up ways to stay longer. If you really feel you can't put off the trip, you MUST find a way to stay longer. There are ways.........

PS: No problems travelling on your own, you will meet lots of travellers especially locals, but you'll only meet them if you R.E.L.A.X.
