Wood carvings in Bali and Hotel Wina

Hi, we are two Aussie girls traveling to bali in July and was wondering how much we are looking at paying for wood carvings, and how we could transport them back to Australia? We will be staying in Kuta. We will be staying at Hotel Wina, is this O.K accommodation for budget accommodation?
