it is easy to go to Singapore to renew your visa...there is a flight that flys non-stop to singapore then turns around and comes back...you don't even have to officially enter singapore, you just stay in the boarding area and fly straight back to bali...this is the flight that all the expats use if they don't want to go somewhere for a few days.
it takes all day and is a pain in the ass to pay to sit on a plane all day just to end up where you started and of course...it is expensive for that type of experience.
