Singapore shopping?

Hi. We have a 2 day stop in Singapore after our bali trip, and was wondering if shopping in Singapore was really a bargain. I have heard mixed thoughts about this, and I'm not really sure what to expect. Are Electronics, cameras and such priced any better than finding a good sale here in the States? Thanks.
