DPS airport exchange will give an ok rate - better than what you would receive in Australia anyway - BUT it still won't be as good as what you could find in Kuta. Perhaps just change the smallest amount possible (when you think about it, you won't loose that much!!!) and find a decent rate in the morning.... I would imagine that the exchange is open fairly late as it seems the majority of major flights arrive a night-time...
