On the Lonely PLanet Board you find only the first message for each topic when you scroll down the page. At the end of each message you can only see how many readers responded to the original message and you have to click at "Follow" to see the other messages or their headings.
We thought it is more helpfull to give on the index page of our Forum the headings of all initial messages to a topic as well as the headings of all threads that you can immediately see whether a thread is of interest for you. How well this actually works depends on how careful you choose your message headings.
