Gili Air is very quiet. so if you want to stay alone with you and a book and forget the rest of the World, its the right choice. Its a bit
like 'holyday on a farm'.
Gili Mono has a innerisland lake. (lots of Moskitos)
Gili Trawangan is more busy, also called the Party Island.
There is good diving and an excellent beach with a good reef just 20 m
from the shore, so wonderful for snorkeling.
If you are staying at one island you can take the local boat for a
daytrip to visit an other one.
