I have a feeling we both witnessed the same spectacle at the Dynasty last week. I can't remember which night it was (I'm barely able to remember it's Friday now I'm home!) but it was around 7.30 - 8.00pm and I was waiting for a taxi on the entrance steps of the Dynasty with my young daughter (we had been visiting friends staying at the hotel). A bus pulls in to take some Bali departures to the airport. Along comes this shirtless Aussie bloke (blonde hair, henna tat on arm) and proceeds to board the bus. He seems quite affable at this point. But then along comes one of the hotel employees asking him to accompany him to the front desk (I am assuming it was about his hotel bill). This unbelievably rude and offensive blonde and shirtless Australian proceeds to tell the highly dignified and courteous hotel employee to " F*&K Offf, you A$@E H*&E, I paid my bill this morning.." The hotel employee remained cool, calm and collected, imploring upon the offensive blonde and shirtless Australian to just accompany him to the front desk to sort the whole thing out. The blonde and shirtless Australian then threw a rupiah note at the feet of the dignified hotel employee and told him to shove it up his a$%e. Of course there was more bad language, name calling, etc. etc. A charming scene. I was so embarrassed for the dignified hotel employee. I was so ashamed for the offensive blonde and shirtless Australian that I just left and walked up the street to hail a taxi. Ring any bells for you? I, too, felt like bopping him on the nose. In fact, I almost chipped in and said my peace but restrained myself given I had the feeling he wouldn't have hesitated to bop a girl on the nose.
