Johan,
Thanks so much for the information, but I have a number of questions for you:
Is it easy to find a fisherman to take us there? We don't want to spend a long time trying to hunt someone down, if you know what I mean.
How big are the boats? I once took a boat off the main island in Fiji to one of the other ones, and it turned out to be about 10-12 feet. It was awful. There were 2 locals, and about 6 visitors, crammed into this tiny boat. It was constantly leaking. We got caught in an unexpected downpour (rain) and we were all madly bailing the water out! We covered ourselves and all of our gear with a big plastic tarp to keep as dry as we could, but then the exhaust from the engine found it's way under the tarp and made us all feel really sick. Needless to say, I'm a little worried about my next adventure similar to this one. I hope it will be much better than that experience!
Also, when we get to one of the Gili Islands, what do you suggest that we do with our stuff? If we decide not to stay the night, we wouldn't want to leave all of our things on the beach when we went swimming or snorkeling.
Talk to you soon!
Ti
