My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to BALI for mid-October for 2 weeks. Neither one of us know anything about BALI. We would like to stay in a region that is the most culturally rich. By that I mean
1) Traditional BALI dances
2) Ancient temples
3) Spiritual retreats
4) Where Local artisans make their goods(i.e. great shopping for real, not manufactured, items)
5) Real Traditional Balinese food
6) Modest, yet romantic accommodations.
Ideally we would only move once or twice, staying at least 4 nights in each local. Or alternatively, locating somewhere central the entire stay that meets the above criteria, and take day trips to other locals.
Any and all tips would be helpful.
