you can fly up there, find cheap accommodation and the shopping up there is great.
visit Borobudur for sunrise - spectacular.
see Prambanan for sunset and see a small part of the Ramayana Ballet with Prambanan as a stunning backdrop.
go down Jalan Malioboro and shop, eat, and listen to buskers.
you could also go to Komodo for a couple of days. good way to do it is to fly to Labuhan Bajo, take a boat over to Komodo and over night on it. visit pink beach, rinca island and return to Labuhan Bajo. Stay over night and come back to Bali.
