countries (happened to a family member of a close family friend of mine in Venezuela). It was a local girl, not a tourist. They call them "Express Kidnapping". A person is targeted & taken to multiple ATM's over the course of a couple of days to get as much money as the kidnappers can & then dumped.
Whether or not it happens in Bali, I wouldn't be sure, but it doesn't sound like it would be that far fetched. It would be naive to think that this couldn't happen either. I don't see it happening in broad daylight on a main street. It would just grab too much attention.
Just keep your wits about you I guess.
