This type of crime is all too prevalent in Bali at the moment.
There have been numerous reports of kidneys being taken from tourists who are drugged and dumped in any one of Kuta's dark gangs.
Another method used to incapacitate the unsuspecting victim is a tap on the shoulder in passing, with the recipient then falling immediately into an hypnotic state.
All valuables, including kidneys, are then at the mercy of the tapper.
My advice is to be very wary of any situation where a tap on the shoulder is possible.
