recommending rabies injections after a dog bite... in Australia. He was unaware that rabies didn't occur in Australia and even after confirming this still wanted to proceed with the injections, just in case.
There hasn't been a recorded incident of a squirrel infecting a human with rabies. To be so unnecessarily cautious is to verge on negligence IMO. There are lots of injections you could pump into someone, just in case, but there are many reasons you wouldn't.
