I always stay about 3 metres away from a padi. A few mozzies sometimes appear around sunset but not many at all and sometimes none. I take the precautions of having a plug in mozzie repellent (the liquid one bought locally) in the room 24hrs a day, and a mozzie coil on the verandah during sunset drinks. I keep my windows open at all times without insect screens. I really do not have a problem with the little buzzers!
Which part of Ubud do you stay in where there is such a problem?
