Yesterdays trip was North, through Seminyak, Kerobokan, Umalas and on to Berewa and Canggu.
Nice weather for a ride, not too hot and breezy enough to keep things reasonable.
The trip there took around 45 minutes with traffic, as usual getting heavy on approach to Canggu.
First stop was a new restaurant called Dolan.
Set up with younger families in mind, there is a small stream running through lawned gardens, open space and many climbing and other kid friendly devices spread throughout.
Trying to create a good impression after just a few weeks of operation, the staff were super friendly and keen to work on their language skills.
From there it was on to "The beach", with panoramic views of rolling waves and surfers doing their thing.
While watching all this, I watched a guy on an electric foil type board device, gliding effortlessly above the water creating his own waves, even if there were none.
This struck me as the way to go about this surfing carry on, but doubtless plenty more cash involved.
The ride back to Lizard Bar on Legian Beach was crazy busy with at times bikes and cars packed so close a piece of paper would struggle to get between.
Sunset Road came as a relief with at least a decent run possible.
After a few at Lizard, it was off to Blue Moon, I think on Jl. Sahadewa.
Decent menus, wine available and food to a good standard.
Back home after a good few Ks run up on the bike.
Great weather early this morning, with the light pink and grey sky illuminating an already busy Kuta Beach.
Plenty of people around, families young and older all around Jl. Pantai Kuta, Kuta Square, the art markets and Kartika Plaza.
Rupiah around 10,350 and a nearly cloudless sky so far.
