Todays mission was a trip to Bingin on the Bukit Peninsular.
From Kuta, this is a 45 minute ride past the airport, through Jimbaran and then along the busy and hilly Jl Uluwatu Raya.
Its hard work on the bike, requiring a lot of kerb walking, footpath riding and no little patience.
However, once into the area, it is a little Canngu-ish with some nice cafes, bakeries and eateries along the way.
Parking up in an area above the drop to the beach, access is gained by a series of steep steps and alleyways all a bit of a labyrinth.
Once at the three cafes comprising the options above the beach one can sit a few meters above the beach and look out to the beautiful coastline and ocean.
The colours are the perfect light sand and turquoise water one would expect in this part of Bali.
Perhaps three dozen or so surfers out, with slow rolling breakers, but looking further around the coast the breakers have a more menacing appearance.
A lovely couple of hours at a beautiful Sunset coast location.
Well worth the hard work.
