An old favourite of many in Poppies One, closed for quite a few years now, pre covid.
I note recently a 2.5 meter cactus has been put in a large concrete pot right on the corner and a fully stocked drinks fridge has been put outside.
The building rubble that has been there over the months has gone.
Does this herald the comeback of TJs??
Further south, "The Pub" that used to be well known for sate skewers seems to have shaken off the "Hogwarts" thing and has largely returned to the old format, complete with sign stating "The Pub Cares For You" which was a sentiment on an old sign I think.
It still makes reference to magicians or some such, but I think oldies will just prefer the old "Pub".
Rate is down to 10,100 today, likely due to long bank holiday and weekend.
Again, the weather perfect with scattered cloud and good breezes.
For those with a preference for Poppies one and Two areas, keep an eye out for "Base Waroeng" offering gluten free meals and drinks out of brand new premises in Gang Bedugul close to KTH.
They have two outlets one on each side of this largely remodelled gang.
Opening sometime next week hopefully.
Afterwards, walk past KTH and note the new gelato place recently opened.
Plenty of confidence for new investment in this area now.
Last nights meal was in Jl. Sahadewa at the Sawasdeekha Thai restaurant.
A very busy location and traffic constant stop start.
Food was very good and staff attentive.
Now to see what today brings!!
