I buy teaching aids, textbooks etc all in Bahasa Indonesia of course to pass on and share with my fellow educators. The range and variety is much larger in Indonesia than what is available locally.
I would strongly advise others to be careful when purchasing electronic or electrical equipment as the products available in Indonesia may not meet your local standards. For instance LED lighting.
A very naive Perth poster on here talks excitedly about buying cheap LED lighting however none of the LED products in Indonesia are compliant and are not registered with the Australian Government National Equipment Registration System.
The Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) is an important safety mark from Australia's electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility regulators and should be visible on all LED products. You won't find this mark on LED lighting purchased in Indonesia.
The LED lighting available in Indonesia may cause house fires or even electrocution in your home country so be think twice before buying Indonesian electrical items, particularly LED lighting.
