You cannot extend with the new visa exemption...you get 30 days.
Therefore if you want to stay longer arrange to get a 60 day tourist visa from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate before you travel.

Indonesians do not pay Visa on Arrival into Australia.
They pay for their visa (whatever type/class) prior to arrival, when they apply and submit their documention etc for the visa to visit Australia
