I just remembered why I usually stay away from social media.
No I don't work here as such - I look after a business in Australia from here. The only thing we do here is oversee the business here, to make sure it stays on course, yet leave most things with our manager and staff to do.
And we were not told to get a KITAS - we were told when we took over the business that we didn't have to (this was in a meeting in a gov office with our lawyer) - we could if we wanted to, but we didn't have to - it was that same office that suggested the social visa option in the first place (they said it will cost us less and suit our stays here best ... and said with a smile).
All I wanted to note with my initial post was that there was a change coming ... that it could effect many people (which it will us) ... so just for people to be aware of the coming change (thought that was the purpose of this forum). It seems to have turned into a lot of negativity, so sorry if I upset anyone.
We will arrange our visas to suit our needs within the new regulations.
