We always go to the Hypermart at Mal Bali Galleria. Last few times we have gone we flew with Jetstar and purchased 40kg luggage each on the way back and filled our suitcases with toiletries.
It's funny when you are going through the checkout with 80 tubes of toothpaste and 80 bottles of roll on deoderant, the locals look at you like you're some kind of crazy madman.
My other half is Javanese and not only are the toiletries much cheaper than here but it means she gets to use the products she grew up with too.
I agree the prices have gone up recently though. Everything has gone up.
