So many of the villas that we have stayed at over the years are now so over priced we cannot stay there. One villa in Sanur three years ago was $250 per night- it's now $430 per night. Part of the problem is popularity. That villa we stayed at was relatively new a few years ago with hardly any reviews on Trip Advisor. It now has around 70 glowing reviews so the owners have a gold mine and can charge what they like- people will still stay there.
Luckily, new villas are popping up in Sanur at a rapid rate, so we have found a fabulous villa for our next trip at a great price. But I have learnt a lesson- just don't tell everyone about it!
