I received an email to call my bank this morning, they informed me my c/card information was hacked and someone in USA was trying to access a couple thousand from my account. Bank was onto it quick and stopped my account. They said it is happening more and more. I suggest you speak to your bank before you go and tell them the dates you will be in Bali and the approx. amount you may access on your card. Cover the pin pad on the machine you use, make sure the screen is not left active and take your receipt. Check your account after you get home. If you do all that you are taking all the precautions possible. Oh and if you use it for a purchase, ask them to complete the transaction in front of you. We mainly take cash to Bali but on occasion have resorted to credit card without problem.
