Stayed in bungalow 114. First night was fine but friends next door in 115 said they heard something in the ceiling, there was a squirrel in the tree outside so I said that is probably what it was or even maybe rats. They were bali virgins so didn't want to dwell on the thought of rats too much. Next night went to bed and could hear one hell of a racket next door, so rang their room and said " sounds like you two are having a good time" Turns out I rang the wrong room by mistake so that was a whoops. Next thing I know they had rung reception as they were petrified that something was making their ceiling vibrate and would break through plus the noise was unbearable. It turned out to be cats fighting so we had lots of laughs the next morning during our post- mortem breaky overlooking the beach.
My room had a faulty light switch but very quickly repaired soon as it was reported. Its an older hotel and a training school for staff so sometimes English is an issue ( but not a deal breaker). I found it acceptable being in a fabulous location especially for newcomers as it is handy for market shopping plus beachfront restaurants and spas. Sunday night they have a dance performance so that was a treat for the newbies. Sadly one of the band passed away the following day and we were invited to a cremation, another unique experience for my little group. Don't expect 5 star but under $100 for beachfront well worth a recommendation. Staff were friendly and helpful.
