The Indonesian Government introduced a new rule that airlines had to include the Departure Tax in the ticket price from 1 March 2015.
As you bought your ticket before 1 March 2015, AA want you to pay $22 to them.
I am in the same situation as you. I will try to pay Rp 200,000 at Bali Airport when I leave Bali in October.
