I love lombok ....if you just want a couple of days chilling out...I would go down to Kuta ...if you want a luxury place check out Novotel....is pricey but if offers a few freebiesl, usually a tour or cooking class, monkey walk,happy hour...very nice ! Plenty of cheaper accom and plenty to see in the area....good surf at Grupuk. The other area for good tours is Sengiggi, and of course should you decide you would like to check out the Gili islands they are just a 10 min boat ride......lots to see in Lombok..:)
