I recently had an extraction at home (AUstralia). It was a top tooth and close to the sinus. My Dentist advised me not to SCUBA dive for 3 weeks because any pressure on the sinus would not be good. (My tooth was very close to the sinus wall and the dentist even warned me of a possibility the extracting the tooth could result in rupturing the sinus wall...) Flying also puts pressure on the body (Boyle's Law)so when making enquiries please be aware that flying the day after this may not be advisable.
