Maybe I just to find the right cheapie cos the ones I've used don't cook it well.
There's a noticeable difference between the cheapie and the one I got from KL years ago made by ppl that eat rice every day. if you read online reviews of Tiger brand and others you'll see I'm not the only one that sees a difference. But I do cook it absorption style on the stove top sometimes and it's perfect but a good rice cooker is a lazy persons way out, and I'm a lazy person :)
Anyway sounds like Bali may be a no go for it so I'll just be stocking up on other things!
