Scooter hire is cheap and convenient in Bali, but can be scary for a novice rider even if you have obtained your MC licence 'back home'. I have ridden for many years in Bali but still take extreme caution. We are stopped at least once per visit by the local police to check on our driving licences which MUST include an internation permit.
